| | Today Tubby gave me a ride to the bus station, when I got there, I've found out I forgot to bring my U-pass. Even worse, I forgot my cell phone too. It was 8:50, I was at Hasting and Duthie, about 20 mins walk from home, with only $1.50 in my pocket. There is a Chevron about a block down, but it's renovating, (like most 7-11 in Richmond, they are closing this one too and change it to a Town Pantry) I was thinking about ask the people there for some spare change, but somehow I didn't. I remember that there is a corner store right across Mountain Shadow (actualy I didn't check if Mountain Shadow was open, I just assume that a pub would open before 9) I've decided to walk 2 block to the store, and turns out it opens at 9:30. Then I saw a car parked a few store down the corner store, so I go down there, and it turns out to be hair salon, and surprisingly it's open. I was lucky that she had that many change, i've only have $20 bill, and she had to go into her purse and tip jar for all the change. When I get back to the station, I wasn't even sure how much is the fare, so I asked the driver (I thought it's $2.50, I need to get out more), and while I was counting, I just told the driver that I forgot to bring the U-pass, then he just said it's ok, but I told him that I need a transfer and prepare to put the money in, he push the button and gave a transfer. You would think that I told him that so that I don't have to pay, but I really didn't think about that, I guess I just can't think 5 min ahead when I've only got 4 hours of sleep last night. The end.
Although nothing much happen, but I would like to think that things happen for a reason. The road is not that good, if I have my cell and call Tubby back, she wouldn't be too happy. If I ask someone there for change, it would cost that person $1.75, and $1.50 for me. The driver might not believe me that I forgot my U-pass. Translink didn't loss anything anyway cause my U-pass suppose to cover the bus fare till next April. The lady at the hair salon might suddenly need an extra $20 bill. Also you, you have spent a few minutes to read this long boring xanga that's nothing really happen.
And now that I know there's a salon close to my house and open this early, I can go there if I need to take a "emergency haircut." Ok , maybe not me, just someone I know that needs a hair cut. You can stop laughing about my hair situation now.
